From what I remember, it would be an example of defamation - specifically libel (libel is written, slander is spoken). And since pedophilia is a crime, it would probably also fall under the laws against knowingly making false criminal accusations.

 

Sadly, ronnie could easily get away with the "diminished mental capacity" defense. Bigdog, on the other hand... running away was probably the smartest thing he's ever done on this forum.

 

On a related note, did anyone else notice a significant change in ronnie's writing "style" right around the time bigdog skipped out? Before that, all of his posts are in semi-literate "txt msg"/IM-speak; he hasn't exactly become eloquent since then, but he did suddenly start writing in (something resembling) full sentences, with sort-of proper capitalization. Kind of like bigdog.

 

And he's obsessed with abortion. Kind of like bigdog. And he's convinced that everyone here is a sock puppet of everyone else. Kind of like bigdog. And he can't stay on topic for more than 3 or 4 posts without throwing out some wild red herrings. Kind of like bigdog. And he's even carrying on bigdog's arguments in threads that bigdog started.

 

Not conclusive, of course (still more plausible than any of the sockpuppet claims from ronnie or bigdog). But given that ronnie and bigdog accused just everyone else of being a sockpuppet, it sure would be funny if turned out that ronnie had given his account to bigdog after bigdog ran away.

It is nothing you guys have not already done. But how are you to know the difference? You are just a parrot.
