Did Moses create a Holocaust similar to Hitler?

I was watching Battles BC on History Television and there was an episode on Moses and how the Israelite army ravaged the various lands as they went to Canaan. Moses told his army to kill everybody that lived there, including women and children.

With people who argue that Hitler used evolution/Darwinism/nautral selection to exterminate the Jews, can it not be said that Moses did the exact same thing?

nope, actually genocide and mass enaslavery of certain tribes and peoples was commen throughout ancient times.

if moses was like hitler in the way of "indiscriminately killing thousands for their race" then there where a LOT more people "like hitler" throughout history.

It was God's plan for Israel to occupy the area it does today. This means that Israel had to kill the people that lived there. The people that lived there were sinful, and this was God's way of punishing them for their wrongs.

Hitler killed people because of their circumstances (being a Jew, crippled, or other inferiorities.)

how did you figure that?

couldn't god just make a new land for the refugees? OR HAVE THE ISRAELIE RELOCATE THEM? women and children dude...women and children.

nooo, i think you might have your history a bit messed up here.

hitler killed the crippled because they weren't of any use.

hitler chose the jews as scapegoats for the depression...a choice that was impart, and in his own words, motivated by his christian religious views (and who is to say god didn''t speak to hitler about this?).

must i remind you of "the passion of the christ?"

face it, christians have hated jew ever since they split of judaism.

you can see the evidence in this from the hundreds of years of religiou persecution.

the irony here is that they distested the people who wrote the book and made the practices on which their entire religion hinges.
