Perhaps it is so hard to prove because even the Bible doesn't support it.

When we read Genesis 6:13, a partial flood, contained to in only the Middle East, would not accomplish God’s will of eradicating the wickedness. A partial flood is simply inconsistent with the Word of the LORD. Here are just a few verses.

Gen 7:18-19 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were UNDER THE WHOLE HEAVEN, were covered.

Gen 6:1,5 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Gen 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and EVERYTHING that is in the earth shall die.
Isaiah 54:9a For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth...

Gen 7:21-23 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping
things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

Gen 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Did you read the article?

I ask because you just quoted the same verses they did. They pointed out how whole earth does not necessarily mean the entire planet elsewhere in Bible.

If it wasn't global then Noah and the animals would have just moved to dry land, not a boat. He spent 150 years buiding it. They had plenty of time to go somewhere else. God destroyed Sodom and Gomarah, and told Lot to move. He didn't tell Lot he was destroying the whole world, just the cities.

But did it really take 150 years or was that another exageration like the populations and ages?

Depending on how fast the flood was, it would have been very difficult to leave the area. Keep in mind that before the end of the ice age people lived in what is now the Black Sea and Persian Gulf.

That as well as the ice age are probably from the flood, not 40,000 years ago.

Probably because you believe in the flood and not because of any evidence that points to the Black Sea reaching its current size in the last 3000 years.

If the flood was worldwide, where did the water from the flood go? The amount of solar energy needed to dry up an amount of water that large in any remotely short period time would exceed what our sun can do.

The water did not come from just the rain. But most of the water came from the "fountains of the deep" as the Bible says. When the waters receded much of it went back into the earth, but the earth is still covered with about 75% water today. Scientists have also discovered a giant ocean under asia. There may be enough water there to cover the earth once again. Here's the photo of this underground ocean.

In that article the word ocean is in quotation marks for a reason. There is not water so much as the rocks in that region have a higher moisture content then would be otherwise expected. This is due to the fact that those rocks occur along a subduction zone. That is okay though, you don't have to take my word for it. "I've gotten all sorts of emails asking if this is the water that burst out in Noah's flood," said the leader of the research team, Michael Wysession of Washington University in St. Louis.

"It isn't an ocean. [The water] is a very low percentage [of the rock], probably less than 0.1 percent."
